A Trauma-Informed Consultant understands the impact of trauma on individuals and systems. They apply core principles and values of Trauma-Informed Care while educating individuals, groups, and/or programs on how to support others who have been through trauma encouraging post-traumatic growth and resiliency.

I am here to help organizations, programs, and individuals understand, develop, and implement trauma-informed practices by providing knowledge, training, workshops, and resources to help you help yourself and others move from victim to survivor to thriver!

Program 

  • Assessments & Evaluation 

    • Recognize the signs and symptoms of trauma in others, integrate awareness of trauma triggers and how to support healing. 

  • Education & Training

    • Provide education to individuals, groups, staff etc on a variety of topics and learning styles to increase knowledge on trauma and healing.

    • Provide tools and resources. 

  • Policy & Procedures Review & Feedback

    • Integrate knowledge about trauma into policies, procedures, and practices. (i.e. HR policies, client interaction practices, crisis management plans, trauma-sensitive language and more).

    • Provide education around the difference in emotional support animal, therapeutic animal, and service animal.

    • Assess animal to see if it meets the requirements needed to be a therapy or service animal.

    • Provide resources and support for training a therapy or service animal.

  • Disability Accommodations 

    • Provide support and coaching on seeking disability accommodations in the workplace.

  • Trauma-Informed Resources

    • Provide resources to learn more about trauma, and trauma healing.
