Service/Therapy Animal Consultation and Training

Michelle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science – Equine Management and is a PATH Intl. Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning as well as a Registered Therapeutic Riding Instructor. With nearly six years of experience teaching individuals with a range of disabilities and trauma backgrounds, Michelle brings deep compassion and expertise to her work with both people and animals.

In addition, Michelle has personally trained her own horses and service dog, and has long been an advocate for therapy and service animal awareness and education.

Today, Michelle works full-time in Program Operations and offers consultation and training services for therapy and service animals, drawing from her personal experience and professional background.

Services Offered

  • Animal Assessment: Evaluate whether an animal meets the behavioral and temperament standards required for therapy or service work.

  • Education: Provide clear guidance on the differences between emotional support animals, therapy animals, and service animals, and education on ADA standards.

  • Handler Etiquette Training: Educate individuals and organizations on appropriate etiquette around service and therapy animals.

  • Training Support: Offer coaching, resources, and guidance for those training or partnering with a therapy or service animal.
