Writing Discussion Group for Trauma Survivors

Trauma Writing Group is for fellow survivors looking to write their story. We strive to create a welcoming and safe community to share your writing, and receive feedback from other survivors who are also navigating the book publishing industry. We meet on the second Tuesday of the month, pre-registration is required.

No Bad Parts

Richard C. Schwartz, PhD


No Bad Parts talks about the parts of us that develop out of trauma and survival and the development of Internal Family System, Parts Work therapy. Rather than shaming the parts of us that developed out trauma/survival, No Bad Parts focuses on understanding why they developed and giving them attention to heal.

It was the first day of burn camp for young burn survivors. She was a burn survivor camper. I was a burn survivor counselor. She had scars, just like me, but seeing the scars on someone else was still scary and suspicious.
